Dr. Hanna is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. She believes that building trusting relationships with her patients is the foundation of exceptional dentistry and strives to ensure each patient feels informed, respected, and confident throughout their care. Her goal is to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.
Dr. Hanna earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2020. While in dental school, she was honored to receive the Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award in recognition of her excellence in esthetic dentistry. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, where she received advanced training in comprehensive treatment planning, oral surgery, implant dentistry, emergency care, and the treatment of medically complex patients.
Following her residency, Dr. Hanna practiced general dentistry in private practice in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she provided a wide range of preventive, restorative, surgical, and implant care for patients of all ages. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and especially values helping patients restore their oral health through preventive, restorative, and implant treatment. She is committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest advances in dental technology and techniques.
Originally from Iowa, Dr. Hanna recently relocated to the Charleston area with her husband, a Mount Pleasant native, to be closer to family while raising their two young children. She is excited to become part of the Charleston community and looks forward to caring for patients of all ages. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring Charleston’s restaurants and hidden gems, decorating their new home, and taking advantage of everything the Lowcountry has to offer.
