Dr. Ellen Paulisick
I am long-time friend and colleague of Dr. Zechmann. Together, we graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore and completed a general practice residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. I spent eight years in private practice in Maryland before relocating to Charleston.
I am a passionate leader in my community and in service to others. While in dental school, I served as the national student representative for the American Association of Women Dentists. I am the recipient of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for community service, and I ran health-based education programs for homeless women and children in Baltimore. I am the recipient of the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics. I was nationally recognized as a featured student in the ADEA – Official Guide to Dental Schools. A life-long learner, I was awarded my Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry—an honor bestowed on less than 6% of general dentists for accruing over 500 hours of continuing education. I have been active in both Pankey and Spear study clubs.
I believe that all patients should be treated comprehensively and have focused my skill set on providing an array of additional advanced treatment options including Invisalign clear aligner therapy, oral conscious sedation, Botox cosmetic and therapeutic treatments, and dental implants. I have studied advance Invisalign treatment under Dr. David Galler and have participated in the Invisalign Pro Program. I am currently an Invisalign Gold Provider, a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners and was selected to be on Align Technologies (Invisalign) Valued Provider Advisory Board.
I am the proud mom of my son, Fletcher, and daughter, Reagan. In my free time, I love being active, cooking, watching Steelers games, and spending time with my children.
